and
a
Chartered
Certified
Accountant,
Mason
qualified
with
Silver
Levene
in
1998.
Subsequently
he
joined
Ernst
&
Young
in
Perth,
Western
Australia,
as
a
Senior
in
the
Assurance
and
Advisory
Business
Services
Department.
Experience
was
gained
in
the
oil
/
gas
and
resource
mining
industries
and
in
due
diligence
assignments.
Mason
also
acted
as
the
project
accountant
for
Coflexip
Stena's
A
$250m
project
to
build
a
sub
sea
oil
platform.
Mason
returned
to
the
UK
in
2000
joining
SL
Corporate
Finance
Limited
where
he
has
been
instrumental
in
assisting
businesses
with
their
fund
raising
efforts.
Mason
has
been
involved
with
an
Ofex
flotation
and
various
Management
Buy
outs
as
well
as
providing
consultancy
to
Cable
&
Wireless
for
their
E-Procurement
Project.
In
2003
Mason
returned
to
General
Practice
at
Silver
Levene
to
manage
the
specialist
Barristers
Unit
providing
accounting
and
taxation
services
to
Members
of
the
Bar.
Outside
of
work
Mason
is
a
keen
golfer
and
scuba
diver.
Effective January 2007 Mason has been made a partner with the firm.
